Plant In-Charge Palakkad

Objective Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Plant In-Charge to manage and overseethe operations of our Ready Mix plastering - Schwing Stetter DMMplant. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in plant maintenance, production supervision, logistics management, and experience in the RMC industry. The Plant In- Charge will ensure efficient plant operations, implement maintenance procedures, supervise production processes, and manage logistics to ensure timely and quality production of Plastering products.

Principle Duties

Plant Maintenance & Operations: Oversee the regular maintenance and servicing of plant machinery, equipment, and infrastructure tominimize downtime. Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations, maintaining a safe working environment at all times. Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for all plant equipment and machinery. Troubleshoot and resolve plant equipment issues, coordinating with maintenance teams for repairs.
Production Supervision: Supervise daily production processes, ensuring the timely and efficient manufacturing of Ready Mix plastering products. Monitor and control plant operations to meet production targets, quality standards, and safety protocols. Ensure the production team follows SOPs for mixing, batching, and dispatching concrete. Coordinate with the Quality Control department to ensure that all products meet the required standards.
Logistics Management: Supervise and manage the logistics of raw materials and finished products, ensuring timely andaccurate deliveries. Coordinate with the transport team to optimize delivery schedules and routes, minimizing delays. Supervising vehicles on time Maintaining Trip sheets & Drivers attendance Oversee the loading and unloading of raw materials and finished goods, ensuring efficient handling and storage.
Team Leadership & Coordination: Lead, train, and motivate plant staff to ensure high performance and adherence to safety and quality standards. Conduct regular performance reviews and provide guidance to improve skills and operational efficiencies. Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, sales, and quality control, to ensures mooth plant operations.
Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of plant activities, production logs, maintenance activities, and inventories. Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly reports to the Plant Manager regarding production efficiency, maintenance status, and logistical performance.
Health, Safety, and Compliance: Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations in plant operations. Conduct safety audits, risk assessments, and implement corrective actions as necessary.

Requirements

Education
Bachelor's Degree In Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Or Related Field
Experience
  • Minimum Of 5-7 Years Of Experience In Plant Operations, With At Least 3 Years In A Supervisory Rolewithin An RMC (Ready Mix Concrete) Plant/Similar Industry Oriented Plants. Proven Experience In Maintenance Of Plant Machinery, Including Batching Plants, Concrete Mixers, And Crushers. Experience In Supervising Production Teams And Managing Logistics For An Industrial Plant.
Other Skills
Strong leadership and team management skills.; Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting; anddecision-making abilities.Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. In-depth knowledge of RMC plant operations, maintenance, and logistics. Familiarity with safety and quality control protocols in an industrial setting.
